Pr. Thomas Modine graduated from Lille University Hospital, France. He has an MD, PhD and MBA degrees. He is a renowned surgeon in TAVR, TMVR, minimally invasive surgery and valve sparing techniques. He his also involved in basic science research programs and is developing a percutaneous mitral program with IP. From January 2004 to January 2006, Dr. Modine completed a PhD thesis. Later he dedicated his training to the development and progress of percutaneous techniques and heart team approach. His research interests are in aortic valve complex, bioengineering, beating heart surgery, hybrid approaches, TAVR, TTVR and TMVR. Both basic and clinical aspects of research experiences are studied. Currently he is appointed as a professor of cardiovascular surgery at Bordeaux University Hospital and Professor at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. He is the Director of Valve Disease Structural Therapies in Bordeaux.
