- 63 y/o male with NYHA class III symptoms.
- PMH: HTN, ureter cancer 02/2020 s/p right nephrectomy, ureterectomy, and chemotherapy.
- Seen by CT surgeon Dr. Mohammadzadeh Oct. 2022 with plan for surgical mitral valve repair. Normal coronaries on angiogram 9/2022.
- Dec. 2022 patient develops back/leg pain, initially diagnosed as sciatica.
- PET scan March 2023 confirms metastatic cancer to lungs and pelvic organs. The patient was referred for Mitraclip prior to starting chemotherapy.
- STS score MVr 2.4%, MVR 2.6%
